My love for flowers started when I was just a little girl visiting my great grandmothers house. She had the most beautiful yard that would burst with blooms in the Spring and Summer time. I would often pick a little rose, bring it inside and she would put it in a little cup for me to take home and enjoy. My career in floral design began in high school, working at Fillmore Country Floral. I loved working there and gained the foundation of my floral knowledge. After high school, I attended Utah State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture - Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, and Business. While in college, I was able to work at Freckle Farm greenhouse where I was able to further my plant knowledge.

After college, I had the opportunity to work in the wholesale side of the floral industry where I was educated in flowers from different farms world-wide. I was also able to gain friendships with various different flower shops in Utah, including Native Flower Company. I began working at Native Flower Company where I became lead designer and later on manager. While working there, I became close friends with Kaila Mleso and Liza McDowell. Together we had the vision of starting our own flower company, and after a couple brainstorming sessions at Slackwater pizza, Idyllic Flora Company was born.

Over the last couple of years, we have done events together including the Encircle Heber house grand opening as well as various weddings. Life got busy for all of us, as it does and we ended up all pursuing different dreams and ideas. I took over Idyllic personally but hold their friendships near to my heart.

Nowadays, I am currently working at the University of Utah Hospital Dispatch during the week and as well as running Idyllic Flora Company.
